The histopathology laboratory aids surgeons in providing better patient care by reporting most surgical pathology specimens within 24 hours [small biopsies] to 48 hours [large specimens]. In addition, Pap smears, fine needle aspiration cytology (FNAC) smear and fluid cytology is performed.
Biochemistry
The Biochemistry section performs 300 tests per day pertaining to 80 parameters. The lab participates in Quality Assurance testing, along with Quality Control (QC) program of CMC, Vellore and a daily internal QC. The Biochemistry unit has state-of-the-art equipment performing ordinary and specialized biochemical assays. 24 hours service is offered.

Hematology and Clinical Pathology
This department is fully automated with the finest analyzers and routinely handles over 300 hematology and 200 clinical pathology samples daily. The completely automated hematology analyzers and coagulation systems offer accurate and rapid results for baseline hematology investigations.
The clinical pathology section deals with routine examinations of urine, stools, all body fluids. Committed, trained personnel who are available round the clock on all days man the laboratory.
